FAQ

What is Defeat Anime RNG about?
The developer describes it as rolling for anime units, fighting bosses with them, merging units to level them up, surviving endless waves, unlocking new zones and collecting rare units and mutations. That loop is the whole game.
Are there tier lists for Defeat Anime RNG units?
No verified public roster exists, so this site does not publish one. The units guide shows how to rank the units you own from their damage, traits and merge cost, and the comparison calculator does the arithmetic for you.
What are the drop rates for units and zones?
They are not published by the developer or by any publisher page we could read. The roll odds calculator works from the one-in-N chance you can see in game, and the zone list is not published at all.

The six systems, in the developer’s words

The developer’s own description of the game is the shortest accurate summary of it that exists, and it is the source this whole page rests on:

Roll for anime units! Fight anime bosses with your units! Merge animes to level them up! Survive endless enemy waves! Unlock new zones! Collect rare animes and mutations!

Read in order, that is the loop: you roll for units, you merge them to raise levels, you take them into bosses and endless waves, and that opens zones where rarer units and mutations appear.

What each system means in practice

System What the sources say Source
Rolling Rolling is how units are obtained, and it is a draw rather than a purchase of a specific unit Developer listing
Merging Merging raises a unit’s level; units can be merged to make them stronger Developer listing
Bosses Bosses are fought with your units Developer listing
Waves Waves are endless and are fought with your lineup Developer listing
Zones New zones unlock as you progress Developer listing
Rare units and mutations Rare animes and mutations are collectable, and they are what the rolling is chasing Developer listing
Luck Luck improves the chance of rolling a rare anime or a mutation, and the codes hand out luck in two forms: temporary boosts and Luck Potions Developer listing, Game Rant (September 29, 2026)
The developer's own art for pull rates: a 1 in 2 roll with 5 DPS against a 1 in 999,999,999 roll with 100 million DPS

Two of those need a second source, because the listing only names them: Luck and mutations. Game Rant’s codes page (September 29, 2026) says the Luck Potions give the rolls “a better chance at rare animes and mutations”, and that powers like Angelic or Blossom “change how a unit fights”.

What no public source publishes

This is the part that trips up most guides, so it is worth being blunt about:

  • No unit roster. No publisher page we could read lists the game’s units with their stats. The units and merging guide explains how to rank the units you already have, because a published tier list nobody can trace to a build would be fiction.
  • No drop rates. The chance of any given unit is not published. The roll odds calculator takes the one-in-N chance you can see in game and tells you what that means across N attempts; it cannot tell you the game’s hidden numbers.
  • No zone list or unlock costs. The listing says new zones unlock, and one zone is named by the sources that report where you redeem codes — Death Castle, which Beebom and Destructoid both describe as a prerequisite before the Codes field appears. Nothing else is named, so nothing else is listed here.
  • No trait pool or prices. The traits and shards guide covers what the sources do say about spending Trait Shards, and says plainly that the current costs have to be read in game.

One loop, three tools

Everything on this site is built around that loop, and the three tools are the parts you can run yourself:

The one place to check when something changes

The developer’s listing is the source for the version this site is written against. It read “[UPD 9] Defeat Anime RNG” on October 24, 2026, and the updates section records what each version changed. If a guide on this site and the game in front of you disagree, the game wins — and the correction channel is how that gets fixed.
