FAQ

What is new in Defeat Anime RNG UPD 9?
Two codes carry the UPD 9 tag: upd9luck and upd9gold. The developer's listing does not publish a changelog and neither do the code pages we read, so this site records the version and the codes rather than describing changes that nobody published.
Are the UPD 9 codes confirmed working?
They are reported as active by Pocket Tactics, PCGamesN and Destructoid as of October 20 to 22, 2026. This site did not redeem them, so read the in-game response before counting the reward.
Where do I redeem a code?
The pages we read point to the Shop or the settings menu, with a Codes field and Enter to submit. Beebom and Destructoid also report that Death Castle has to be unlocked first. The full steps are on the redemption guide.

What does UPD 9 mean here?

The developer’s own listing is titled “[UPD 9] Defeat Anime RNG” and showed an October 19, 2026 update date when it was read on October 24, 2026. That listing is the only place the version is stated, so on this site UPD 9 means exactly what the developer calls it, and nothing more.

Which codes carry the UPD 9 tag?

Code Reported reward Listed as active by
upd9luck 2× luck boost for 1 hour Pocket Tactics, PCGamesN, Destructoid
upd9gold 2× gold boost for 3 hours Pocket Tactics, PCGamesN, Destructoid

All four pages that could be read on October 24 carry both codes, Beebom’s included: it refreshed its list that same day and moved the UPD 8 codes to its expired section. The complete table, with the evidence behind every row, is on the code ledger.

What else shipped?

Nothing this site can state. The listing describes what the game is — rolling for units, merging them, bosses, waves, new zones, rare units and mutations — but it does not publish a changelog, and neither of the pages that describe the current codes says what UPD 9 altered.

Destructoid’s page also shows four further codes — RAIDS, MASTERY, GHOULUPDATE and SORRYFORRESTARTGUYSTPBUG3 — in the codes-hunter widget it embeds, which points at another publisher’s list rather than its own. It says nothing more about them. One of those names suggests a ghoul event, but a name is not a description, so this site does not claim what any of them does. All four sit in the code ledger with their evidence attached.

How to check it yourself

If the game shows an update notice when you open it, that notice is the developer’s own changelog. Send us what it says with the date you saw it, and this page will carry it with that date attached.

Where the game stands

The listing read “[UPD 9]” on October 24, 2026. Each page on this site carries the build its content was checked against, which is not always the newest one: the first-session guide is still marked UPD 4 for exactly that reason.
